zzxc: right I shall type all this again. I was running 3.6.6 and then up pops box offering 3.6.7 so I begin to download and it finishes but then tells me didn't work 'cos I still have 3.6.6 installed. so I uninstall 3.6.6 and attempt to install 3.6.7 but

I guess 3.6.7 is running, now I need to know whether I am running 3.6 or 3.6.7 just 'cos it shows as downloaded don't mean its running does it. Trouble is I am now so tired and so paranoid and you inform me Adobe's at risk and Java's at risk and tried what you said wiht adobe and getting you yourselves blocking what you want me to do with adobe I don't know wherer I am. Your Mozilla/Firefox start page does nothing, just sits there, I clicked everything in sight n nuttin happend which I remember from before, if that page don't work what is a person to do???

I am a long time user of Firefox and never had a problem with an update until today. I have reported the issue. See my response to another user about the issue at: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/731552?
