It is a malware extension that Firefox seemingly allows. The "uninstall" button is ghosted and will not work. It ca be disabled but not uninstalled, ergo: malware. The extra yahoo search tab it opened is gone, but when I open a new tab now Bing appears. I can find now way of disabling that ergo :Bing is malware, too. It is a byproduct of the browser/toolbar/search engine wars that typify even so-called mainstream business. It seems that our very good friends at mSoft, yaHoo and perhaps even moZilla have gotten their palms greased by the unscrupulousw folks @ Freeze.com. I am reluctant to go to Freeze.com or W3i Holdings, LLC to ask for help for fear even further contamination. They are untrustworthy.

It IS malware, although most AVs like norton don't seem to think so. Fishy that ff doesn't allow uninstall, but it isn't the first. Disable it, run a deep scan to q. its reg keys, and if you REALLY want it gone, uninstall ff with a proper uninstaller (NOT win - s/t like revo) and try again
