I chose not to import anything from IE8 because I was having problems with it. I am considering importing favorites but not sure whether FF3.6 and IE8 cookies are stored separately or the same place. The other part is it safe to import those cookies-they could be part of the problem.

Firefox stores cookies in the cookies.sqlite file in your Profile folder.

I don't know where these are located -cookies.sqlite file and Profile folder I found something in firefox that says 'Show cookies' The other part of question was-is it safe to import my IE8 'favorites' Thanks for quick response-I am sure this is obvious to you but not to me

Thanks to both of you-I finally found it-cookies.sqlite file in your Profile folder So the answer is yes- the IE8 cookies are somewhere else-so I am not going to import those.

Now the question is it safe to import 'favorites' from unstable IE8? It is a major pain doing this manually.
