I am using a new laptop and want to export my whole browsing history inc. bookmarks, cookies etc from the old one to the new. Can this be done? I am using Firefox 4 and Windows 7, but am no longer able to connect to the internet on the old one.

You can do that by copying the relevant data files from the profile folder on the old computer to the equivalent folder on the new computer. For details of the files to copy and the location of the profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile

Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks and saves the last ten backups for safekeeping. See this article:

Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer

it describes how to manually back up your bookmarks and how to replace your bookmarks with a backup.

hope it helps;)
