I am trying to assist someone to move her profile to a new computer. Old system is Windows XP. New system is Windows 7. Same version of Firefox. I think I have followed the step-by-step instructions for how to back up and restore a profile in order to move it, but when Firefox is opened her history and bookmarks are not available. Even when I try moving just individual files from one profile to another, that seems to have no effect. I would appreciate any suggestions for how to successfully migrate a Firefox profile from Windows XP to Windows 7.
