How do I remove Firefox if it can not be removed via the Control Panel? Firefox will not uninstall. I click "uninstall" in my Control Panel and nothing happens. The program will not go away, even after restarting and trying again.

Hopefully this article will help you out.

Also, there should be "uninstall firefox" in the start menu entry, under 'Mozilla Firefox'

Let me know :)

That article was unhelpful as that just tells one how to uninstall via the control panel, which I explained I am unable to do. I go there and click uninstall (Win7) and the round "working" circle appears for about a half-second then nothing happens. For whatever reason, Windows can't uninstall the program. I am not having any trouble removing any other programs; I uninstalled and reinstalled a handful of other smaller programs that wouldn't take very long to make sure the Windows uninstall function wasn't broken, and they all uninstalled without a hitch.

There is no uninstall firefox entry in the start menu. I have 2 versions of Firefox installed, 4.0.1 (which is the problematic one) and 3.6.7, which I can uninstall and reinstall without any problems. (I need the older version because a certain website I use is not compatible with the new version.) Neither of them have an uninstall option in the start menu, though both of them have an uninstall folder in the Program Files folder.
