Google Maps Custom icons does not show up in version 8.0 works nicely in IE9 and Google Chrome Google standard icons shows up normaly se this link

The icon or placemark is 48x48 trasparant .png

You have to se the page in ie9 Google Chrome or opera to understand this matter

That is probably an issue with CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing).
- http://enable-cors.org/ enable cross-origin resource sharing
- https://developer.mozilla.org/En/HTTP_access_control
