I can't get Firefox to accept cookies
I have the privacy option set to "Remember History" but no cookies are ever remembered. This occurs with all sites that use cookies. I am running Windows XP SP3. This problem has been there for a long time on various Firefox updates. I'm stuck with IE 8 for my bank and others that require cookies.

Hello , maybe the cookies file is corrupted, with closed firefox (from file>exit) open the profile folder and then delete or rename the cookies.sqlite file and any cookies.sqlite-journal files.
thank you

You can also check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
