Themes do not show in my Dell netbook with Windows XP Home since Firefox 20.01.1 was installed a few days ago. I changed none of the settings, and have tried a number of different themes, none of which worked.

Themes show fine in my Dell desktop and laptop running Firefox 20.01.1 with Windows XP Professional.

Solutions?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode.

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"

When you are in Private Browsing mode then the persona is disabled and you get the default theme.
