android version - use of camera

Hi,

Thinking about switching to your Android browser, but I am a little put off by the app accessing my camera at an any time without my confirmation. When I see this, it ordinarily guarantees that I will not download an app. I'm confused by this, as one of your biggest selling points is privacy. My question is: what are you doing with this function, and why?

A feature of some websites is the ability to upload a picture directly from your camera. Firefox for Android has the permission to access the camera so you can use that feature. It should never actually be used without your knowledge, per the specification. But security is never 100%, so don't visit questionable sites.
