Despite specifying in icon properties that I want Firefox to open a maximized window, it always opens as a normal window. Is there some setting somewhere that needs to be changed in order to get it to open maximized?

Thanks, Ellen

You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.

Please Update to the latest Firefox 20.0.x version.

I apologize for my slip-up. Somehow I thought that the window would automatically be maximized if I set the shortcut properties to maximize. I realized that I had neglected to simply try maximizing the window, closing it, and then reopening to see if it remembered the maximization, and it turns out that it does. So, no problem to solve.
