There are some websites such as "regcleanpro" which cannot be closed down or erased once it has gained access by some means, and are just a dammed bother. Why doesn't Firefox allow me to make a list of websites which are not allowed to access my PC and immediately block them when they try?

Block Site - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/blocksite/ - can be used to block web sites from being loaded in Firefox. But the Windows HOSTS file can be used to block websites from being loaded by any program on that PC, thus it is more effective at keeping Malware from accessing websites and loading those sites in Firefox.

Note that you have (currently no longer supported) keyword.URL pref that point to a delta-search infection.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Hi,

install the add-on from "https://addons.mozilla.org"(search for the application to block site),then restart mozilla.

it will help you to block the unwanted sites.
