Firefox will crash on opening, only allowing me to use it in safe mode.
When I try opening Firefox, it fails every time (I don't get an error message or anything, it just never opens). After a couple of attempts, it allows me to either restart Firefox or open it in safe mode. When I try to reset it, the resetting screen stops responding and eventually crashes (again, no message). This problem also happens when I do it through the troubleshooting tab within the browser. This means I can only open Firefox in safe mode. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, restarting both Firefox and my computer multiple times, and attempted to locate a solution within the other questions. Anything that will allow me to not use safe mode would be great. Thanks

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
- Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
- In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
- From that explorer window, double-click on the Mozilla folder, then double-click on Firefox and then on Crash reports. Double-click on submitted.
- Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to View > Arrange Icons by > Modified to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
- Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
- Paste each ID with bp- into the reply window on the forums.
Thanks in advance!
You can find more information and troubleshooting steps in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.

These crash reports appear to be related to pending bugs in Firefox's use of hardware acceleration for graphics, possibly related to an incompatibility with Nvidia drivers.
While in Firefox's Safe Mode, you can disable this setting and that may allow you to start and run in regular mode.
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Any change?
