firefox saving bookmark sites in address bar
Basically I have bookmarks that I regularly go on and normally all I need to do once I'm done is clear them from the history and they're gone from the address bar but twice now firefox has decided to keep them in the address bar, even when I've deleted them from the history.
I've tried clearing the cache and cookies, as well as the history in the settings, I've tried un-installing and re-installing and I've tried deleting the bookmarks. I was prompted to install an update of firefox and so I thought that would solve the problem but it didn't.
I've tried everything I can think of to clear them as I don't mind them being in my bookmarks but I would like to not have them stay in the address bar.
They're nothing bad or embarrassing (as they're social network sites) but I just don't need them in the address bar all the time as it's just annoying as firefox never used to do this when I cleared the history.

Regular entries can be deleted by highlighting them with the mouse or keyboard and pressing the Delete key on the keyboard.
Entries marked with a yellow star are bookmarks. You have to either delete those bookmarks, or set the location bar to only display history items.
It looks like you're using an old version of Firefox. You can check for updates by clicking the Firefox button in the top left corner, hovering over the Help menu then clicking About Firefox. In case of problems, you can download the full installer below.
I've updated firefox by clicking in the help section.
I've also tried the highlighting them and clicking delete before and it didn't work and I've tried it again this time and again it sadly hasn't worked.
