Hardware acceleration is not enabled on latest drivers
Hi, I'm using Firefox 24.1.0 ESR on a Debian Jessie and hardware acceleration doesn't get enabled unless I've force it to be enabled via about:config.
I use a fairly recent version of the proprietary Nvidia drivers and it doesn't seem like blacklisted (at least it wasn't on the resources I can find on the internet, I don't know how recent they are)
The situation is same on both 32 bit and 64 bit builds of vanilla Firefox from Mozilla or Iceweasel from Debian. I've created a new profile but it didn't change the situation. I've added the troubleshooting details of the new profile below.
Anybody know
- if this version of the Nvidia driver is blacklisted or not,
- where can I access the up-to-date blacklist
- Is there some other problem than blacklisting causes this issue?
Thanks.

Ok, I'm a dumbass. Looks like hardware acceleration is not enabled by default on Linux yet. I must strees that it's a bit strange to put a ticked checkbox in preferences which claims it will enable hardware acceleration if possible but then won't even try to enable it since it's disabled by default.
