Asus laptop running windows 7. Has recently come up with message "yahoo recommends you upgrade your browser to enjoy all the features in the new yahoo mail" Clicking on the upgrade box does nothing. Clicking on the "continue without upgrading" box does nothing so i am now unable to access emails on my laptop.

hello, please try to reset firefox on the affected laptop and see if this can address the issue (this will keep your bookmarks & passwords)...

I wonder what version of Firefox Yahoo thinks you have?? There are some add-ons which can modify or block browser information. To see whether that might be relevant, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

Any difference?

Also, Yahoo's changes have obsoleted many old bookmarks. If you are accessing Yahoo! mail using a bookmark, try letting Yahoo redirect you to its currently preferred server from a generic address like this one

https://mail.yahoo.com/

or from the Yahoo home page.
