How eliminate annoying "Not Using Current Version" message ?

more options

For months my Firefox home page has included a note that I am not using the latest version, and provides a link to update. When I use the link I'm told "Congratulations, you're using the latest version." Adding insult to injury, not 20 minutes ago I downloaded 27, and the message is still there. Hardly the end of the world, but at this point it's very annoying. How do I eliminate the message?

The old Google-Firefox page hasn't been updated since Firefox 4 was released, so please disregard the update information on that page.
