Hyperlinks are not underlined and the box is checked for them to be?

more options

My hyperlinks or links have lost the underline on them? I went into tools and the box is checked for them to be underlined. I went into inspect element changed it there and they came back but will not stay. Is there a way to save the changes I made in the HTML?

While Firefox has a setting that allows you to specify a preference for link underlining, pages can override it. Many websites, such as this one, try to reduce the appearance of clutter that can be created by the underlining of links.

Today for some reason I noticed that Google results have changed to not having the main headline underlined. Google is constantly experimenting with the results page, so this might change back tomorrow.

If you want to enforce a rule that all links must be underlined, you probably would need an add-on (either an extension specific to that feature, or one that lets you apply your preferred styles to a page).

I'm not sure what site you were modifying in the Inspector, but those changes are purely local and will be lost when you reload the page. If you need assistance with your own website, do you want to post a link to the page that is not working correctly?
