Where are you getting those URLs from? Bookmarks? Hyperlinks?

They pop up on my screen. I do not know where they are coming from. It does not matter what page or site I am on. Yahoo - eBay - etc

When I click onto them they go away, then come back a few minutes later. ??

Hello - I think I have done a screen shot. Please let me know if it worked.

When I do a screen shot (I have done several) they will not load and show the below message:

Error uploading image

"Screen Shot 2014-06-01 at 7.32.04 PM.png" is too large (1613KB), the limit is 1024KB

Is that a full screen/page screenshot?

You can try use an image editor to compress the image a bit more or zoom it out a bit to make it smaller or crop the image and have only the portion that is relevant.

I've never seen such an alert mentioned.

Do you know what program could be causing this message to appear if you look at the icon in that message?

Is that an icon from your security software?

Hi I have no idea where it is coming from. I am using an Imac desktop. My apple warnings have never looked like this. I don't know what you mean by program? I am using Firefox. It appears constantly wherever I am. It started about 2 weeks ago. There is not "file:" in my URL.

It just popped up again as I am typing this. ???

I think your problem could be mal-ware of some kind.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware. Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer Windows > Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. (Mac: Open the "Applications" folder) Go thru the list and use a web search to check any that you don't know what they are.

I am thinking to uninstall Firefox then reload it again to try to get rid of this. If I delete Firefox then reload will I loss all my current Bookmarks??

If the problem is mal-ware, it might still be there.

Uninstall Firefox from your computer {web link}

If I move Firefox to the trash, then re-install, will I lose my bookmarks?

You only lose bookmarks if you remove the Firefox profile folder and do not have a backup of your personal data.

Note that on Mac you may still have the Time Machine to restore files from.

What are the connection settings?

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":
