I cannot login to gmail
Starting Thursday, September 26, I cannot login to gmail. I stay logged into gmail continuously, rarely logging out. Starting yesterday, I noticed that my email was not up when I clicked on the Firefox tab that should have had my gmail account opened. Instead, I was at the login screen. I logged on and once the screen is populated, showing my in-box and the initial tabs and emails, before I can click on anything, the screen automatically reverts to the login screen. No error or message is ever given.
I started by trying all the typical restart browser, clear browser history & cache type fixes. Nothing worked. Today I am still unable to login to my gmail from my desktop computer. I can access email from my tablet or my phone with no problems but gmail from my computer is dead in the water. I rebooted. No change. I logged off of my Windows profile and logged into my wife's. I can login to gmail just fine from her profile using Firefox. When I'm logged into my profile I cannot. I can login using any other browser you can think of. I tried a default reset. No luck. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. No dice. This definitely seems like a Firefox issue, but limited only to my profile. What gives?
Has anyone else experienced this issue or have does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Thanks for including your settings information.
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
- right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
- (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove your Google cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
jscher2000,
Thank you very much for trying to assist. I don't wish to seem unappreciative but I have to wonder if you actually read through my post. I understand you were trying to help but I fail to understand how suggesting the very same things that I said I've already tried unsuccessfully is supposed to be helpful. As my original post stated, I've already tried all of your suggestions, numerous times. Those were the first things I tried, before the default reset and before the full uninstall/reinstall.
Does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks.

Hi Byron, I didn't see the word cookies but of course a reset should wipe those so yes, that was a duplicative suggestion.
Although I haven't known Google to be sensitive to it in the past, some sites will keep logging you out if your connection parameters vary. The workaround for that is to set "No proxy" here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
