I know there is an option to select download directory but I am talking about upload directory. For example whenever I try to upload image in any site for example imgur.com dialog opens at desktop location. I want to change this location.

As far as I know it is not about lastdir entry in about:config because even after clearing history/cookies dialog opens at desktop. How to change it?

There is no such thing as a up load directory.

You drag or drop from your system to the wep page in Firefox

Or you upload from your system using the upload feature on the site you are at in Firefox. It can be any where you want it to be.

Desktop, F: drive, pics folder, anywhere you have what you want to upload. No restrictions, no rules.

The Site is issuing a command through the browser into the system OS and it is a File Explorer Window that Opens, Nothing to do with Firefox.

There is no setting for the upload directory (Browse button) AFAIK. I think that the same default directory is used for both uploads and downloads.

Did you try to change the download directory? You may have to disable the ask setting to access this setting.

Hmm... Is that any way to change default location in windows 10. I tried but found nothing.

What I find is Chrome browser follows same uplaod directory for different sites while in Firefox dialog opens every time from desktop directory. Is there a way to set same upload directory for every site?

No it is from the last Directory you used usually. So if use the same one then it may open to that if do not clear out something held some where....lol...scream... Confusion reigns supreme at times. See if can find something here : https://www.howtogeek.com/t/windows/ and try these guys : https://www.tenforums.com/ and https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/229/windows-10-support/

If do set this to not change like you say Chrome does I would be lost as I want it where I want from or to at that time.

First off, you appear to be using Firefox 47.0 which is no longer supported. Why so out-of-date? Firefox 57 is the current release, and Firefox 52 ESR is also supported.

In Options > General under Downloads what do you have it set for?

Save files to where? Maybe Desktop is set? Downloads is the default. Always ask me where to save files? That will be the last used folder for either downloads or uploads.
