I'm trying to print to PDF an HTML file containing Arabic text which is formatted via CSS. It appears correctly in the browser. However, when I attempt to Print to PDF it loses formatting and shows the output incorrectly.

The Print to PDF, however, works correctly in other browsers-Chrome and Safari.

Could you give me some guidance if there is something specific for Firefox that I need to be doing in the HTML for it print to PDF correctly?

I couldn't find a way to attach the HTML file, so I created a GitHub gist for it: https://gist.github.com/joelthe1/8f6d2a8c8bc14458ec2a7ac32f52470e

Hi, You may need this : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/print-to-pdf-document/ There are others of copy/paste print into the search bar. I do mean copy/paste to save hassle.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hi @Pkshadow, Thank you for the prompt reply. I installed the addon you suggested and it doesn't seem to do work at all in my browser. I tried restarting my browser after install, but it doesn't respond on clicking the button.

I tried a few other print-to-pdf plugins but they don't support printing a local HTML file from the computer.

I personally think Firefox should be able to handle the print output itself since other browsers are able to do it correctly.

How about the link of the site your trying to print if it isn't private information so others can test to see what results they get?

@WestEnd, The HTML file I'm trying to print to PDF is generated from a Desktop App which I'm trying to view and print (to PDF) from Firefox.

For testing, I've attached the file as a gist. The link is: https://gist.github.com/joelthe1/8f6d2a8c8bc14458ec2a7ac32f52470e

You could download the HTML from the link and open it up in Firefox to test it yourself. Please note that the generated PDF looks okay for the first couple of pages, then it starts showing missing data and misalignment.

Hi, try these please :

Hi, I tried going through those links and tried resetting printer settings and reset all printer settings. Those don't seem to help. The other options don't seem pertinent.

I asked my friend to try it on his computer and the issue persists for him too when he tried to print to PDF from Firefox 58.0.
