Verified the following: - I am logged in to Pinterest - All Firefox add ons are updated - Latest version of Firefox installed (59.0.2) - about:config > accessibility.blockautorefresh is set to false Restarted Firefox in safe more to rule out other add ons causing the problem

Not being able to save images to Pinterest from Firefox has been going on for months. I've been using Chrome (never a problem there), but I hate using anything Google.

I have tried to pin images using the button provided by both Pinterest and the one Baris Derin developed to support FF 64.2. Note that I am on FF version 59, and the About screen says that Firefox is up to date, so not sure what version 64 is.

Clicking the Pinterest-developed button from any web page causes the screen to flicker and do nothing. The same behavior occurs whether I click the toolbar button or click the red Save button that's become ubiquitous on web page images. If I am inside pinterest.com, I have no problem pinning images to my boards. The problem occurs when trying to pin images out in the wild.

When I use Baris Derin's heart button, it does not work the way I'd expect. This add on creates a popup window that I can close after successfully pinning the image, but when that popup closes, the page remains on a bunch of image selections. There is no way to get from that page back to the original page (backspace does not work) unless I manually strip out the query from the API (?ul_noapp=true). This add on also seems to choose the smallest image possible from the underlying code, whereas the Pinterest button lets me choose different sizes related to the target image.

Is this a third party cookie issue? I have not seen that discussed on these forums.

Hi, you can ask or inform the Developer of the Heart Button that there are issues with his extension as well there is a support page and contact info on that page.

Since I do not know what Extensions you are using as that information was blocked or unchecked within Firefox that it maybe a cookie issue and you should allow all through after deleting your cache and cookies. Give it a try as Pinterest sure loves your info.

If that is not the case or still issues you can try in SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST''''is issue still there ? If still a issue : please try a Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st: Delete your Cookies and Cache and TEST.

then

TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:

If is your Profile :

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
