Problem With Double Tabs Opening In Bing Images

When I use Bing Images and I click on an image that I have selected I have in the past been able to click on that image to view the enlarged version of it in one tab but now it incorrectly opens two tabs instead of one. This does not happen in Chrome or Edge. Now if I use the menu that has "view image" below the image it will not open two tabs but correctly open one tab to view enlarged version. Please see screenshots with captions. This has never happened with earlier versions of Firefox.

Thank you, Don

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

How to disable Hardware Acceleration {web link}

I have done all of this Fred and I have been a Firefox user for years since the beginning of Win 7. My cache and cookies are removed at closing Firefox and I use CCleaner to remove what Firefox does not remove at closing. This did not start until Firefox updated to 63.0.3 and this is only happening with Bing Images and not Google Images or any photo hosting website or any other browser. What you have asked me to do is standard dialog that is told to all users but thanks for the help.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here:

Then reinstall the latest version.

Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

The flash player I have is Adobe Flash Player 31 NPAPI Plug In Version 31.0.0.153 which is updated automatically. Do not know where the other two came from unless Firefox is seeing old files but they are not installed on my computer per my search on my drive.

I do not use hardware acceleration and my graphics driver is up to date per my manual check and Win 10 updates NVIDIA with their updates when needed.

This is a Firefox problem as this is the only browser this is happening on with clicking on a Bing Image to enlarge it. I have no corrupt files per my check and there is nothing wrong what soever with my Apps or Hardware.
