Cannot access about:config on Firefox android. This seems to be an intentional action as there is an archived thread where other users had the same problem and Firefox did crikets and did not resolve the issue.

Without the ability to access about:config it is almost impossible to prevent browser hacks and spying through microphone and camera using the Firefox's always on webrtc due to this.

For anyone reading this search for "webrtc leaks" . Then read about the dangers of having webrtc on by default as Firefox does with impunity.

This needs to stop and it is a huge security hole.

Firefox developers needs to enable about:config so that users can switch off shouting vulnerabilities like this.

There has been threads before like this, but developers do nothing about this issue which is very very curious.

Should we believe they want to leave webrtc on permanently, knowing that it can be used maliciously as reported?

Hi

You can access about:config in the Beta and Nightly versions of Firefox for Android.

Is it in the nightlies to be released in the next version, or is it always going to stay just in the nightlies ?

Hello,

This feature will stay in Beta and Nightly versions. This used to be a feature available in stable.

I believe this was removed because of the complexity to less advanced users. Whatever reason it is, it most likely will stay a non-stable feature.

I find this very strange. As if someone want to make it difficult for users to protect themselves against known vulnerabilities.

What is the use of e.g. having a firewall, when Webrtc in Firefox advertises an internal IP address non-withstanding the camera and microphone in addition. One of the main purposes of a firewall is to masquerade internal IP addresses. Firefox with webrtc on absolutely circumvents some of the masquerading of the firewall. Surely you can see this is not acceptable ?

Firefox should take the security of their customers a bit more seriously. The intentional omission of about:config in Firefox Android absolutely undermines User security.

You surely know Webrtc can be used really easily to compromise users, but developers still refuse to include about:config in Firefox Android in stable to help us prevent security issues.

Really doesnt make sense why you dont have about:config. And BTW, there is no difference between PC users and Android users. Both types of users need to switch off webrtc to prevent spying and firewall compromise. That explanation doesnt past muster. Sorry.
