I have set up new mail servers in thunderbird and instead of sending and receiving mail he is still trying to access imap.google.com It's been about 16 hours since I deleted my Google Accounts I set everything up on android and everything works. Check all your SMTP servers: Tools>account settings>scroll to bottom of left pane to Outgoing servers. One of them may still be to gmail. I suggest also rechecking incoming servers.
