"Thunderbird can't update to the latest version" repeats
Ever since the last automatic upgrade to my Thunderbird just over a week ago I now get a message every time I switch on which says, "Thunderbird can't update to the latest version" - "Download a fresh copy and we will help you install it". However, this refers to your latest version 102.3.0 and when I check my installed version, About Thunderbird says that I am already on 102.3.0 and below it says, "Thunderbird is up to date". How can I stop this annoying message? Michael

Using Avast?
I am having this problem, too. I don't use Avast, but I do use some AVG products. I have tried changing Thunderbird's update settings, but that doesn't help.
PS: I have been using Thunderbird and AVG for years, and I haven't had this problem until recently (the last 2 or 3 weeks). I _think_ it may have started happening after I upgraded to 102.3.0, but I'm not sure. I'm on a 64-bit Windows 10 system.

If you use AVG then you may have some leg work to do. Does the problem go away if you start Windows in safe mode?
Other possibilities, are you running with a VPN or proxy?
If none of those items have helped
1. Do Settings > General > type "config" into the search 2. Open Config Editor 3. Search at the top for "app.update.log" and set it to "true". 4. Restart Thunderbird. 5. Do Help > About 6. Open Tools > Developer Tools > Error Console 7. Type AUS into the filter at the top 8. Copy everything starting with "AUS:" 9. Please paste the information here.
