Hotmail is rolling out a server change at their end which might be causing this problem. Mozilla has spoken to them about it and they are trying to fix it. I won't be able to provide a time estimate by when it will be solved but hotmail/mozilla is certainly looking at this issue.

I disabled Adblock Plus and it's still not working via Mozilla while I can access and open my Hotmail messages via IE.

I can open my hotmail email messages using Google Chrome, but not when using Foxfire (version 3.6.18). That's the only reason I am using Chrome!

FIXED - HOTMAIL NOT WORKING PROPERLY IN FIREFOX

1. I disabled all the plugins in Firefox (Firefox - Add-ons - Plugins). Then restart FF.
2. Hotmail then became fully functional again.
3. I enabled each plugin one by one until I worked out which one was causing it. Restarting FF each time.

I discovered my issuse was caused by the plugin:

mFlowBrowser Plugin 1.0.0.1

I've tried all of the recommended fixes posted, but I still can't open Hotmail with Firefox, 3.6. The only way I can open Hotmail is to use IE.

This problem jsut started a little over a week ago. Only happens on one computer I use. When I log into hotmail I can see my inbox messages but none will open and I can't go to other folders in the account. It works fine ont he same computer in IE, Chrome, and Safari, but not Firefox 3.6 and Opera (though it used to work just fine, not that long ago).

I did a fresh install of Firefox getting rid of all plugins and my personal settings, but still have the problem. I cannot log into other hotmail accounts on this computer either, thoguh I can on others.

This computer is running Vista, I have not had access to another vista computer to try it, so I don't know whether the operating system could be the issue. I have read a lot of references to this problem, some a couple years ago, some more recent. Some say Firefox 4 fixes the problem, others don't. I don't want to go to 4 since it doesn't work with some of my web development plugins.

I have a fiddler capture, which Microsoft's forums recommended doing, but they don't tell me what to do with it once I have it.

No hotmail for about 3 weeks now! I can get in but can't open anything.

  There are also no ads on the hotmail page, but I don't have adblocker installed. ANYONE know what the hell's going on?

Today is Aug. 10, 2011 and I can not get my hotmail accout emails to open. Has anyone gotten their's to work...I love this browser but gezzz it sure does go on the blink a lot...HELP!!!!!

Now, in Mar.2012 I meet the same problem having recently upgraded the Firefox to v.11. I tried to run it in the safe mode to figure out if any plug-in, add-on, etc. goes wrong, but no result. I haven't had problems till recently wit Fiçrefox 10, neither with Firefox 3.6.* before. Moreover, in my case the IExplorer behaves with Hotmail the same way as Firefox . At the same time, on another fairly similar machine with the same OS (WnnXP sp3), etc., but with the Firefox 3.6.* I have no such problems

Foxit Reader Plug In for Mozilla 2.2.1.417

Disabling Foxit Reader Plug In did it for me too..
