How do I Add sites to the 'Top Sites' displayed on the New Tab page?
I have Removed the FoxTab addon, which hasn't functioned for the last 2-or-3 Firefox upgrades. I really liked FoxTab, & so was happy to see Firefox adding this as native functionality!, if only I can Add specific sites to the 'Top Sites' displayed in the New Tab!
With the new 'Top Sites' function, when one clicks to open a New Tab, there are some sites automatically displayed/listed. However, none of these are sites which I wish to be readily available, even after Removing those sites I don't wish to be displayed there.
@ the "Learn More About The New Tab Feature" page (below*) it's shown how to "Organize"/"Pin"/"Remove"/"Rearrange" sites, but not how to Add sites...

You can change the order of the boxes on the about:newtab page and drag them to a different position to pin them to that position or you can remove them by clicking the close X of an item to block them.
You can drag a bookmark or history item and drop them in a slot on the about:newtab page to pin them.
Such changes are stored in the chromeappsstore.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder under the pinnedLinks key and blockedLinks key.
The thumbnails on the about:newtab page are generated from the cache, so if the page is not in the cache or otherwise can't be rendered as a PNG image then you will get an empty box.
Do not use Clear Recent History to clear data when you close Firefox.
If there is no history then you get an about:newtab page with empty boxes.

@cor-el: Thank You! Your reply, "You can drag a bookmark or history item and drop them in a slot on the about:newtab page to pin them." answered my question & solved my issue!
