We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.

  1. Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
  2. In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
  3. From that explorer window, double-click on the Mozilla folder, then double-click on Firefox and then on Crash reports. Double-click on submitted.
  4. Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to View > Arrange Icons by > Modified to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
  5. Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
  6. Paste each ID into the reply window on the forums.

Thanks in advance!

You can find more information and troubleshooting steps in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.

I think this is the information you want. The most recent crash ID:

Crash ID: bp-f1912ec3-a61b-4028-b580-614512120621

Thanks for your help.

On re-reading your email, I see that you want the most recent 5 IDs. I don't have have 5 IDs. I only have two. The one above is dated 3:19 pm today (PT). The only other one that I have is:

Crash ID: bp-8c10960d-574b-4b9b-bad5-a4eee2120621

The time stamp for this crash is 11:49 am today (PT).

Hey,

unfortunately, that crash report is corrupt. Can you please send another one once you get the chance?

You might want to check the Firefox Portable support forum.
http://portableapps.com/forums/support/firefox_portable

That is a problem with Digital Guardian (DgApi.dll)

I started at the Portable App forum. Nothing seemed applicable there.

I think you are onto something here. How do I disable DgApi.dll? Thanks.

Tobbi,

Now every time I try to send a crash report, I get a message that there was a problem submitting the report. I did not get that earlier today. Not sure what changed.

Here is another crash ID. Hopefully, this one is not corrupted:

Crash ID: bp-53a5a8e7-4d96-4839-b6d1-6d4822120622

That unfortunately links to a crash report that is empty (@ EMPTY: no crashing thread identified; corrupt dump) and doesn't include any data.

You can open a link via the about:crashes page to check if there is one that doesn't have an @ EMPTY signature.

Do you have software installed in Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs that looks like Digital Guardian?
