Auto reloading of the same page works if it's not the current opened page, otherwise it pops a window.

This is pertaining to my own (hobby website), which used to work a while back...

Try open this: http://ho.tzo.com?sample

I'm using the latest version of FireFox (removed and re-installed a few times), on an Windows XP SP3 laptop. When, after launching this page, you keep all as is, when the clip is complete, it'll load itself (to play another clip, by way of JavaScript that is running the current page). This is when it then will pop a window, w/ the text "You have chosen to open:"...

Now, close FireFox completely, then load the same address again, but this time, while the clip is playing, open another tab, and use it to open google.com or leave it as is (blank). Upon completion of the clip on the the other tab, the load of the other page would be successful, with no window popped.

BTW, in the first scenario above, FireFox would also seize to prompt, if you open another tab when it's constantly popping the window... And, soon, it would also load the new page successfully.

I could not reproduce the case 1 - on completion of the 1st video it loaded the 2nd (selection page) ok. But I got error 150 - from your code I guess - , when clicking on one of the panes - wanted to see Mobutu, roi de...

The cause for differences in behaviour could well be the add-ons. If you have development tools involved, it could not hurt to disable them for the time being and check again.

Let us know if this helped.

SMO, thank you for your post.

I don't have any add-ons installed on my copy of FireFox. It is a clean installed version.

I don't understand what you meant with "...it loaded the 2nd (selection page) ok. But I got error 150...". That's not what I'm getting, and I'm not sure how you got that error 150, something that I don't remember ever seeing... Once the first clip is done playing, it should load the same page again and play another randomly-selected clip, etc. etc.

Thanks again for your comment.
