My entire experience with TB has changed and I don't know if it's something I did or if TB changed its format. I just want my old start screen back to the way it was before. Now, I send an email with photos included IN THE EMAIL and when I look at Sent email it looks nothing like what I sent and the photos are at the bottom of the screen as attachments. If these changes are on TB's end, I'm definitely not happy with them. Is there a way to get the previous format back?

An e-mail body displayed does not match subject header. This is rare, 1-2x per month and for a single e-mail. The subject line above and below (even though rest of header matches body) is for a deleted e-mail. I've seen this most often with e-mails left in Inbox for several days. Windows 11 & TB 115.4.2 (but has existed in earlier versions as well)

Two queries:- I have a strange black square that appears when replying to emails. It can be moved with the cursor but won't disappear. I have the option set which displays the number of messages and the disc space they occupy in various folder. In the Deleted folder, when I empty it, either using 'Empty Deleted' or manually be selecting all the messages and using the delete key, The number of messages drops to zero but the disc space is still occupied. This is in contrast to the junk folder where the operation works as expected. Help, please!

Hello I use Thunderbird version 128.3.1esr (64 bity)

I have a problem. Everyday thuderbird do "cataloging mailboxes" - i have 10 mailboxes and each day Thunderbird do this to random few mailboxes.

each few days he create new inboxx folder and copy to them mails - now i have 21 inboxes with duplicated mails.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this complex problem?

I send messages over php with a link, for example:

Koordinaten: <a href="https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=49.7997283719618&mlon=7.796087265014649&zoom=15&layers=M" title="Kartenübersicht im Browser öffnen">49.7997283719618, 7.796087265014649</a></p>

When I copy the source code the link is correct. When I copy the whole html mail source code in a blank page and save it as .html, the link is correct, too. It works and the code generator (notepad++) shows no error.

But:

In the Mail Preview an -view the link is shorten to: ttps://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=49.7997283719618&mlon=7.796087265014649&zoom=15&layers=M The first h is gone. Any idea, how this could happen?!

While it's amazing that we can mark grouped folders as favourites, there seems to be a bug:

The grouped folder (e.g. Inbox) correctly appears in the list of favourites. But soon after it disappears until you uncheck end re-check it to be a favourite via its context menu.

Hello, I just got a "forced" update of Thunderbird. Thereafter it refuses to start, giving me the error: "Error Platformversion '128.4.0' is not compatible with minVersion >= 128.3.1 maxVersion 128.3.1" (see attached image). My alumni email account is hosted on Microsoft 360. My email address is xxx@alumni.caltech.edu, but the actual login user name is xxx@alumni.caltech.onmicrosoft.com. When I try to log in with Thunderbird for Android the user name is automatically set to my email address rather than the username specified in the incoming server settings. This field cannot be changed and it prevents me from logging in. Please help, and thank you for all of your fine work.

I was working on figuring out an imap timeout problem (previous forum question) when I accidentally deleted the Inbox folder. No problem, I thought, cuze imap protocol will recreate that folder when thunderbird restarts. Problem is, it did, but after a period of time (10-15 mins) the Inbox and Trash (which I didn't delete) disappear. Nothing I do seems to recreate them. Message Synchronizing is on and Inbox & Trash are checked. Doesn't matter if unread emails are in there. When I restart thunderbird Inbox and Trash are back but then disappear.
