Opt out of Australis? I thought Firefox was about choice!?

more options

So I've written several things about this but it seems like there are too many basic users with no concept of design or work flow who love having things dictated to them to make the Mozilla team care about giving us the option and choice to NOT use this abomination called Australis. I guess we can thank Apple for this trend in adoption but now I suppose the question is what the hell is flexible enough to replace what Firefox was?! I'm learning towards Iron but in the past I've noticed it had some issues over normal Chrome...any suggestions? Installed Opera a bit ago, it's even less flexible than in past years too.
