24.6.0 - thunderbird said "permanently delete" a number of folders (12 or so listed in Activity Manager as deleted) on wife's computer. I goto her Mail/Local Folders/ to change X-Mozilla-Status - find her profile and folders/msf files. challenge - I can't find "foldername" or "foldername.msf" of any of the folders that were listed as deleted in my Activity Manager. - would TB have actually deleted those folder/files (vs. changing X-Mozilla-Status?

It turns out our latest backup doesn't have her TB folder. Latest viable/working backup is 3 years ago - mail from her mom (died last year) etc. that can't be replaced. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there anyone who specializes in data recovery that ALSO specializes in thunderbird data recovery you would refer me to - who might scan my harddrive etc?

All ideas welcome. Thank you.
