Videos will not play. They say I have ad Blocking software. I don't think so! How do I uninstall if true?

Went to CBS.com to play a posted video. The video would not play. Got a notice which said that I had ad-blocking software installed. I DID have an adblocker on a previous machine, but not on this one.

Hello Minaluver, in your extension list you have the Ads Removal 1.0.0 extension and the Advanced SystemCare Surfing Protection 1.0, go from 3-bar menu button > Add-ons > Extensions panel > disable the extensions.

also you have 3 version of flash plugin installed ( Shockwave Flash 15.0 r0 Shockwave Flash 14.0 r0, Shockwave Flash 13.0 r0), keep only the latest 15.0) go from, as above, 3-bar menu button > Add-ons > Plugins panel > Never Activate.

finally, delete the user.js file you have in your profile folder.

thank you

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.

Flash is notorious for not cleaning out the older version as part of an update. Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac Then reinstall the latest version.
