Does this extension do what you are looking for?

Might be a good idea to back up your profile first in case something happens, see Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. I'm sure you do not want to lose information such as bookmarks.

Hey, I have tried this add on but its not secure. It can be easily by passed by closing the window when password is asked.

That's unfortunate - I am surprised it has such high ratings if one of its advertised features can be bypassed so easily. You can try using third party Windows applications:
