shortcutcache .ico files are null
UPDATE: I am now getting the desired icons - don't know what I did :)
Hi. Running latest FF release 34.0.5.
When creating a desktop icon (Windows 8.1) by dragging a url from the Firefox address bar, if the website has a favicon associated with it the shortcut created has a blank icon.
I think I've traced this problem to something: the "blank" url shortcut refers to an icon stored in appdata\local\mozilla\firefox\profiles\xxprofilexx\shortcutcache -- the file exists there, but it has a value of zero Kb.
So it would seem the desktop icon is being created properly, but the associated icon is being created with a null value, and the result is a blank icon.
shortcutcache contains a file named "QtZ3nDm6pPF9K8B9ouakGA==.ico" but the size of the file is zero.
The icon which refers to this shortcutcache entry is:
[InternetShortcut] URL=https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction_input?qtc_tLabels1=9405510200828414686191 IDList= HotKey=0 IconFile=C:\Users\Jad\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\jad\shortcutCache\QtZ3nDm6pPF9K8B9ouakGA==.ico IconIndex=0
