The new bookmarking method only added steps, I want the old method back, It was able to place my books in categories and subcategories directly. 2-3 steps now. All the replies to this same question by other users DID NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION either, but was an instruction on using present system with the added steps. How can we back off the change and return to the system that wasn't broken and did not need fixing.

Hi mulqueen, what method were you using before?

What happened in Firefox 29 was mainly that the star icon which used to be in the address bar (the one that does a one-click save to the Unsorted Bookmarks list) moved to the toolbar and got attached to the bookmarks list button.

To call up the Add Bookmark dialog that defaults to the Bookmarks Menu, you can use one of these methods:

  • press Ctrl+d
  • right-click the page > click the star icon on the context menu
  • use the menu bar, Bookmarks > Bookmark This Page

Does that help at all?

There are other things that need your attention.

Your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

  • Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0
  • Shockwave Flash 14.0 r0

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.
