For some reason, which I cannot pin down to a specific alteration of my system software or hardware, Firefox will no longer start except in safe mode.

It instantly crashes and goes to the crash report.

I refreshed firefox.

I have sought out every last fragment and deleted it, and reinstalled several times.

Updated graphics drivers etc.

I can open it in safe mode.

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks.

hi Gniops, it looks like this crash is related to the graphics hardware. if you have already tried updating your graphis driver and this didn't work then alternatively disable hardware acceleration in the firefox menu ≡ > options > advanced > general while you're in firefox safemode (that setting will also take a restart of the browser to take effect).
