Set the homepage to google.com, but somehow it changes every time to v9.com. How can I solve this?

Already deleted the search engine v9, but it didn't work. I've changed the settings for the homepage many times, but v9 keeps coming back.

Hi, see if working through How to Remove Safe.v9.com virus (Removal Guide) by Malware tips will help.

Note that not all removal programs will detect all malware, so you may need to run several or all of them.

After removal you may need to reset your home page, search etc., which you can do by running the add-on SearchReset.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

If you do not keep changes after a restart or otherwise have problems with preferences, see:

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar and search for prefs that refer to the v9 website. You can reset user set (bold) prefs via the right-click context menu to the default value.
