How to load icons (favicons) for Bookmarks
After reinstalling Firefox (to new 64-bit version), I've lost all of my favicons. I'm seeing that only way to get them back is to individually select each bookmark. Is there a way to get the bookmarks to go and automatically download their favicons so my bookmarks will be repopulated again?

You can look at this extension:

Awesome...addon worked great...and took less than a minute to find almost everything. Much appreciated!

The addon Favicon Reloader is not available anymore.
So now there's no way in Firefox to refresh your bookmarks favicons, I have verified it using Firefox 46 and synchronizing my bookmarks: no favicons restored.
How can we refresh our bookmarks favicons now?
Since this is a feature that brings immediate Firefox benefits (from a functional and visual point of view - its' important), can expert supporters suggest a way to propose the "Bookmarks favicons refresh" as an embedded Firefox feature?
Thanks in advance.

I have this problem too after moving to a Windows 10 Desktop, hopefully someone can offer a new solution as the favicon reloader is no longer available? I have tried favicon restorer but that isn't working now either.
Now that the extension is no longer available you will have to visit each of the bookmarks to make Firefox retrieve the favicon.

You need to right-click the "Free Install" button and select "This Frame > Open Frame in New Tab" to be able to allow the website to install the extension.
This extension allows to include the favicon in a JSON backup, so you can consider to move (replace) the bookmarks by restoring a JSON backup. I haven't checked if this extension still works in the current release.
