How do I apply changes? I would like to allow cookies but there is no "ok" or "apply settings" button. I exit preferences after making the changes, go back in to check and they have reset.

Facebook is displaying in basic html mode on my macbook pro, on all web browsers so I have reset Firefox and deleted all cookies. I am now trying to start from scratch and resolve the issue.

Please help!

Chosen solution

Here is what I did to make it stick:

  1. Right clicked on the webpage and selected "See Page Info"
  2. Select the "Permissions" tab and uncheck "Use Default" next to store cookies

Else please try these troubleshooting steps: How to fix preferences that won't save

However, please note that sometimes cookies do have a determined expiration date when they are set, which it beyond control of the browser if all cookies are accepted.
