Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin for Firefox 64-bit??

more options

I started to try 64-bit Firefox but "Windows Media Player" plugin cannot be installed correctly.

In https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/play-windows-media-files-in-firefox, it's written that

"The new Windows 64-bit version of Firefox does not recognize or support this plugin."

OK. So, is there any plan to make a 64-bit Windows Media Player plugin? Or we just let the plugin die?

Thanks

You need the 32-bit version to be able to use WMP.

Currently the Win 64-bit version of Firefox only supports the Flash and Silverlight Plugins. And all NPAPI Plugin support will be gone in 2017 for all versions of Firefox. So, I doubt if the WMP Plugin will ever be whitelisted for the Windows Media Player.
