Hi, can anyone help out.

Mozilla Thunderbird latest version (I have also rolled back a few version as a test) installed on windows 10 machine. Kaspersky Anti Virus installed and not using BitDefender or other Windows Anti Virus / Malware protection.

On starting Thunderbird it just shows (not responding) and doesn't download any messages. I have left it for well over 20 mins and still nothing.

I've tried starting TB in safe mode and it's the same. I've unistalled and reinstalled the software and no change. I've tried rolling back to an older version and again the same thing. I've also tried disabling Kaspersky virus protection and again no joy.

Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, strangely TB has started booting again.. the last thing i did was revert to a previous version of TB, although it seems to have updated itself as it's version 45.2.0 and is saying it's up to date.

New emails appear to come in okay. As soon as I try and do anything else, delete and email, move the scrollbar to look at older emails it crashes.

Interestingly though, it would appear I can write emails and send okay?

Any ideas.

I've also tried starting it in SafeMode with plugins disabled and the same thing happens. As soon as I try scrolling it crashes.

Thanks I've managed to solve it by removing some of the emails and in particular one that had a large attachment
