Can you confirm if "Shockwave Flash" is not disabled? You can find out by click on the menu button on the upper right hand corner. Followed by selecting Add-ons. Followed by select "Plugins" on the left hand side menu.

If Shockwave Flash is disabled, then you know what to do. If it's not, then I would uninstall adobe flash and reinstall.

Btw, youtube probably works because it's using the HTML 5 player and not flash.

Cheers.

Shockwave Flash was marked as always activate. Have uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but still no video.

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Have updated Firefox, Adobe Flash plugin, and Windows 10 to newest Anniversary Edition to update drivers, but still no video working on any websites other than Youtube. Have tried to mark all other plugins as "do not activate". Still didn't correct problem. Tried to activate them 1 at a time. Still no video will play. (If I click on video's advance bar at bottom of video,, it play about 1 syllable of sound only)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Safe Mode doesn't interfere with plugins.

Started in Safe Mode. Problem is still there. Video comes up, but doesn't play. Can move slider to later portion of video, but it won't play in that location either.

Worked fine before the update and they work fine when I use IE

Sometimes, when I am surfing, I come across a clip that doesn't play on my system. What I do is to download the clip. Then it plays fine.

I am up to date and videos played for a minute after I turned of hardware acceleration, but then they stopped playing again so I disabled webgl and that worked for a minute then they stopped playing again. It has to be something with the last firefox update because I didn't have this problem before and I don't have it on internet explorer.
