where is the "allow" button so I can do downloads?
I've tried to download 2 items the latest being a weather forecaster and they both tell me to click the "allow" button but none can be found. I did go to preferences>security>warn>exceptions> and clicked the "allow" button and saved it but that didn't work.

What's your computer system and Firefox version?
As far as downloads, there is no allow button.

See:
- "3-bar" menu button -> Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> General
Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

I've got a new Mac Air with Sierra OS 10.12.2 in it and whatever the latest Firefox version there is as I just downloaded it several days ago. My screen shot is to large to download. How do I reduce it?
What format is the screenshot?
- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
