How can I receive emails I post to a listserve of which I am a member

I am a member of several "lists" of subscribers. For instance a board of directors I am on has a list which all members can post to. Everyone get the email, except me. Of course my program saves a copy for me, but if I don't get a copy of my email from the list itself then I don't know if the list is working or not. Sometimes, for various reasons, the list doesn't work and if you normally receive a copy and don't, then you know it's not working. If you never receive a copy, you have no idea if your message went through or not. I have looked in my SPAM folder but they are not there. Is there any way to get the program to accept emails sent by me?

that would be a question of those operating the listserv. Although Google simply do not deliver the replies if the sever sends them. Yahoo on the other hand to no email the sender anyway.
