new email password
I cannot seem to find where I need to enter a new email password into Thunderbird. Or rather, I found where that should happen, but there are no saved passwords in the spot I thought they should be: Options menu: Security-Passwords-Saved Passwords
I can't download the emails for one email account and I can't seem to find a place to enter a new password. I get the message that contact with the server failed, but there's no option to enter a new password, and the above search failed. I do have a master password, but again, there aren't any saved passwords in the indicated place (I have two email accounts so there should be two).
What am I missing? Where do I enter a new email password?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have held membership in this forum for many years and this new setup there is not a place to add a signature file. Never noticed until much later, NO I am not the Original Poster and have created another thread.

Thunderbird will prompt you for the password when needed.

So you don't even get to the point where the password is needed. You'd have to fix the connection problem first. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/cannot-receive-messages

Did you ever tell Thunderbird to remember your account password(s)?
All of those suggestions have been done, not once or twice, but; many times over including the feature of going into 'Settings' removing accounts, one at a time and reestablishing them with all Correct data again each time without any satisfactory results. Even spent the last three (3) days either in chat session, on telephone or over the NET changing passwords with my ISP/Email accounts and they work on one computer, but; not in Thunder Bird on Linux.
