Everytime an email arrives in my inbox there is a ping to alert me. However it is enoying while watching a news item or a film etc. How can I switch it off.

Hi silently,

Assuming you're using Thunderbird, make sure 'play a sound' is unchecked.

If you're not using Thunderbird : please contact your email provider.
