My host server is set to delete messages after 3-days when I was using windows 7 this did not effect the messages in my Thunderbird inbox. Now that this computer uses windows 10 Thunderbird deletes my messages from its inbox when the host server deletes them. I want to save all my messages in my Thunderbird inbox.

That sounds as if you are using IMAP but accustomed to POP. It's doing exactly what IMAP should do.

Your options are:

  1. Remove the IMAP-connected account and set it up again using POP, or
  2. Keep the IMAP-connected account, and adapt to the way it works by moving those messages you want to keep to somewhere on your computer, such as another POP account, or the Local Folders account built into Thunderbird.
